What Colony Builders built
Colony Builders designed this Woodlands project as a natural extension of the home’s rear elevation. The broad attached patio cover creates room for cooking, dining and seating while maintaining an open connection to the backyard. Its low-profile roofline, white columns, light stone bases, gutters and exterior trim were selected to work with the proportions and finishes of the existing brick home.
Under the roof, stained accent beams add warmth to the light paneled ceiling. Colony installed the finished patio flooring along with the visible ceiling fans, recessed fixtures and pendant lighting to support different uses across the patio.

Design approach
Built to relate to the existing home
The outdoor kitchen uses brickwork that relates directly to the house and includes countertop preparation space, a stainless grill, a refrigerator, built-in storage and a raised serving or seating counter. Material repetition makes the cover and kitchen read as one coordinated addition.
