What Colony Builders built
For this Clear Lake home, Colony Builders created a covered outdoor-living area that makes the waterfront setting more comfortable and functional. The attached patio cover extends around the rear corner of the home, providing a large sheltered footprint for separate dining and lounge areas while preserving open views toward the water.
The low-profile roofline, white columns, light stone accents, paneled ceiling, gutters and trim coordinate with the existing brick exterior. Colony installed the visible ceiling fans and recessed lighting throughout the cover, along with the finished patio flooring.

Design approach
Built to relate to the existing home
A full stone feature wall anchors the outdoor kitchen and gives the covered patio a clear focal point. Stone-finished surfaces, countertop workspace, built-in storage, stainless cooking equipment and space for a ceramic grill turn the rear patio into a complete outdoor room rather than a stand-alone shade structure.
